Role

My client is looking for an all rounder that will primarily be a systems role but will also need to help out at a desktop level.

The Environment:

My client currently users Lenovo desktops, IBM servers and storage.

My client run a mixed environment with Novell edir and MS AD.

The servers and storage have just been refreshed and are utilising VMware.

My client is also just completing the mirgration ro Exchange 2010 with more projects under way.

Experience Required

• Manage requests for FIX connections.
• Manage the provisioning and testing of additional FIX connections.
• Provide daily first and second level IT support for staff in a professional and timely manner.
• Log IT faults and queries to the Helpdesk system
• Action any requied moves abd changes of users on the network including network patching.
• Provide basic end user training and assistance on SOE applications.
• Coordinate the maintenance of IT equipment including desktop workstation, phones, printers and facsimiles etc.

Education and Qualifications (Please rate yourself in the following areas)

• At least 4 years experience in the IT industry
• Proven competence in installing and supporting IT hardware and software.
• SQL Server experience
• Comvolt experinece
• Microsoft Office 2010 experience
• Exchange 2010 experience
• MS Active Directory experience
• Novell Edir experience
• VMWare experience
• Exposure to Iress, FIX and or Blommberg
• FIX connection experience.

Relevant industry certification is preferable.
